Poona Employees Union v. Force Motors Limited and Another (2016) 2 SCC 531
Category: Labour
Two employees’ unions of Force Motors Limited were locked in a legal tussle, one for acquiring the status of a recognised union under the Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Unions and Prevention of Unfair Labour Practices Act, 1971, and the other to ward off such an endeavour, it being a recognised union. The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the High Court, dismissing the appeal.
