Niranjan completed his BSl LL.B and then his DCL, because of his encounter and interaction between the class and caste affecting societal relations and access to justice. Being a drummer he initially channelized the struggles of caste and class through music. Through his extensive reading he understood how law and social justice are intricately related and how law is also a mechanism to bringing about a peaceful change and deliver justice. He sees law as necessary tool to bring about an important change in society.

During the bail matter for Arey he saw group of lawyers going from station to station arguing for peaceful release of illegal detainees without any charges, this has been one of the most powerful moments of the power of law he has seen. Going further on he would want to work on rights of hawkers, abortion rights, housing, right to food and rights of persons with disabilities.
