National Meeting on Human Rights and the Law '21
March of '21 witnessed a successful National Meeting on Human Rights and the Law at Konark, Odisha, organised by Socio-Legal Information Centre where lawyers, activists, and human rights defenders from different parts of India gathered to listen, discuss, and understand manifold voices that strive to fight for justice. Topics of discussion included Tribal Rights, Labour Rights, Right to Food, Refugee Rights, Climate Change and Environment, Women Rights, State Repression and Stifling
Dissent, Secularism and Peace, and LGBTQI Rights.
Our lawyers at SLIC engaged in meaningful conversations with lawyers and activists who attended the National Meeting at Odisha to talk about their journey and how they have so far fought for what is right and stood up as allies to the marginalized.
