Disabled people face discrimination on a daily basis. In this competitive and
overpopulated world, finding proper employment is tough enough for us, then think about

discrimination and inequality. Disabled persons have the same civil and political rights as
other human beings. Disabled persons are entitled to the measures designed to enable
them to become as self-reliant as possible. Disabled persons shall be protected against all
exploitation and treatment of a discriminatory, abusive or degrading nature.
• Older persons should have access to adequate food, water, shelter, clothing and health
care through the provision of income, family and community support and self-help. Older
persons should have the opportunity to work or to have access to other income-generating
opportunities.
• The law guarantees the following rights for senior citizens: – The right of independence
and privacy, including their right to make decisions regarding their property and place of
residence, among others. – The right of protection from violence abuse and neglect
